Our team maintained the momentum in May and made lots of major progress worth celebrating!

One of the most significant updates was installation of solar panels on the roof—an important step

in demonstrating the school’s commitment to energy efficiency and sustainability. The cafeteria’s sliding doors—opening to the East Courtyard—are also in place adding natural light, fresh air and a stronger connection to the outdoors.

Inside the building, key features are taking shape. Classrooms on both levels are nearing completion, with finishing touches bringing these learning spaces to life. The kitchen now features walk-in coolers and the administration area is coming together with features such as beautiful mailboxes with wood-slat detailing. In the bathrooms, bold purple tile is being installed that continues the thoughtful, vibrant color design theme throughout the school. Meanwhile in the gym, beams are being sanded and sealed for long-lasting durability.

Lastly, in late May, we provided a special tour for Cornelius teachers and staff. Many of them were moved to tears by the building’s transformation and expressed excitement for their students’ bright future ahead.
