Gym Floor, Stairs & Classroom Finishes Complete

Our team has made huge headway the past several weeks! The gym floor is officially in place, which is a major milestone that’s truly helping the building take shape. Our core construction crew and concrete team have been pushing hard and their pace will continue to pick up as the students’ summer break nears.

Interior finishes are underway in the kinder and green bathrooms, complete with vibrant, colorful tilework. In classrooms the casework, countertops, lighting and paint are bringing these spaces to life. We also poured the interior stairs, which has made it much safer and easier to move through the building. Preparations are also underway in the area where the backup generator will be housed. Once completed, Cornelius Elementary School will serve as an “Immediate Occupancy facility” in the event of an emergency or natural disaster.

One last highlight we loved from March was hosting Forest Grove High School’s Viking House program. Students took a jobsite tour and got a firsthand look at the differences between residential and commercial construction. It’s always a privilege to inspire the next generation of builders!
